NuGet broken? not really.

If you have Visual Studio Tried and trying to use NuGet but get an error like this:

PM> update-package jquery Update-Package : The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel. At line:1 char:15 + update-package <<<<  jquery     + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (:) [Update-Package], Exception     + FullyQualifiedErrorId : NuGetCmdletUnhandledException,NuGet.PowerShell.Commands.UpdatePackageCommand

then the fix is probably quite easy. Just go to the Nuget package settings, in Visual Studio 2010 pick:
tools, options, package manager, package sources,
or
tools, library package manager, package manager settings, package sources

If the existing source is this:

NuGet official package source
https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=206669

then it’s easy to fix, just click the remove button to remove it, and add the following (as above, just use http instead of https )

NuGet official package source
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=206669
